Microneedling for men
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING FOR MEN?
Microneedling for men can improve skin tone and texture, diminish wrinkles and fine lines, smooth acne scars, and reduce discoloration with minimal downtime.
Additionally, microneedling offers men a safe and natural way to improve their appearance because the treatment uses the body’s own healing mechanisms to produce results.
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?
Microneedling is an anti-aging treatment that uses a manual or mechanical device and fine surgical-grade needles to create micro-lesions on the skin’s surface. The body then responds by generating new collagen and elastin to fill these wounds.
To further stimulate collagen production, the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma can be applied to these small punctures. Additionally, topicals are delivered through precision-made orifices to boost wound healing effect and cell rejuvenation.

WHEN CAN THE RESULTS BE OBSERVED?
After your first session, most men find that their skin is smoother and more luminous. Additional effects become apparent over the next several weeks and can continue to progress for up to six months.
The number of recommended treatments varies from patient to patient and depends on skin quality and specific concerns and goals. However, a series of three to five treatments is generally recommended.
HOW DOES MICRONEEDLING WORK?
Microneedling works by stimulating the skin to produce more collagen. The idea is that the punctures of the procedure cause a slight injury to the skin and that the skin responds by producing new tissue rich in collagen.
This new skin tissue is, in turn, more uniform in tone and texture. It is normal for skin to lose collagen due to age or injury. By stimulating the skin to produce new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer as well.
PROCEDURE FOR MICRONEEDLING
During the procedure, your doctor makes small punctures under the skin with a pen-like tool. The punctures are so small that you may not notice them after the procedure. Your doctor will move the tool evenly across your skin so that the new, rejuvenating skin is also smooth.
Before starting, your doctor will use a topical anesthetic to reduce the chances of pain. This is done about an hour before your treatment. Remember that these procedures must be performed by professionals.
